Grant Rish
For Grant Rish, coming home to Port St. Joe wasn’t just a return—it was a full-circle moment. After years of working in development and homebuilding across the Gulf Coast, Grant brought his passion and experience back to the place his family has called home for over 150 years. Now as the Owner of Rish Real Estate Group, he’s continuing a legacy of service, growth, and hometown pride in one of the most beautiful corners of Florida.
After gaining invaluable experience at 68 Ventures and Truland Homes, Grant learned firsthand what it means to lead with integrity. “Nathan Cox, the owner, taught me more than I can put into words. From taking risks, helping others, and staying loyal, to always finding a way to get the job done—those lessons shaped everything I do now,” he says.
Grant doesn’t just talk the talk—he’s walked the long road of entrepreneurship, including borrowing money from his mom to fund his first spec house. Today, he’s proud to have taken several subdivisions from raw land to sold-out communities, managing everything from acquisition to infrastructure to final sale. “I’ve always treated others’ money like it was my own,” he says. “But when it is your own—when every step is yours—you grow in a different way.”
Locals and clients alike say what sets Grant apart is his deep knowledge of the Forgotten Coast—both the land and the people. He’s often the first to know what’s coming next, and he has a gift for helping buyers and sellers see the bigger picture.
When asked what buyers should know about the area, Grant keeps it simple: “It’s paradise. You’ve got that small-town feel, but you’re still close to everything. Gulf County is one of the few places where you can drive on the beach, build a bonfire, fish in the river, and be in deep sea water—all in the same day.”
When he’s not helping clients or overseeing development projects, you’ll find Grant on the golf course, soaking up sunshine on a boat headed to Apalachicola, or spending quality time with his wife, family, and friends—often at the beach, by the pool, or exploring somewhere new. He’s a firm believer in working hard, living well, and always making time for the people who matter most.
One of the things Grant treasures most about his work is getting to do it alongside his family. Whether it’s building something new or guiding someone home, it means more when it’s shared with the people you love.
At the end of the day, it’s the everyday magic of Port St. Joe that keeps him grounded. “I love the two red lights. I love running into people who’ve known my family forever. I love this community. I’ve been lucky enough to travel the world, and there’s still nowhere else I’d rather be,” he says.
For Grant, being back isn’t just about selling homes—it’s about investing in a place he’s proud to call home. Whether you’re planting roots here for the first time or coming back to your own full-circle moment, he’s ready to help you every step of the way.
