As a developer, entrepreneur, and lifelong local, Grant Rish approaches real estate as a return to his roots.

Coming home to Port St. Joe wasn’t just a move for Grant Rish, it was a full-circle moment. After years spent working in development and homebuilding across the Gulf Coast, he returned to the place his family has called home for over 150 years. Now, as the Owner of Rish Real Estate Group, he’s carrying forward a legacy of integrity and hometown pride in one of the most stunning corners of Florida.
Grant’s professional journey includes time with 68 Ventures and Truland Homes, where he learned what it truly means to lead with purpose. “Nathan Cox, the owner, taught me more than I can put into words,” Grant reflects. “From taking smart risks and staying loyal, to always finding a way to get it done, those lessons shaped everything I do now.”
He’s also no stranger to the scrappy side of entrepreneurship. From borrowing money from his mom to fund his first move-in-ready home to managing full-scale subdivisions from raw land to final sale, Grant has put in the work. “I’ve always treated others’ money like it was my own,” he says, “but when it is your own, when every step is yours, you grow in a different way.”
What truly sets Grant apart is his deep understanding of the land, people, and future of the area. He sees development not just as growth, but as stewardship. His insight into market trends, property potential, and local needs makes him a trusted advisor for both buyers and sellers. “It’s paradise,” Grant says simply. “You’ve got the small-town feel, but you’re close to everything. This is one of the few places where you can drive on the beach, build a bonfire, fish in the river, and be out in deep sea water, all in the same day.”
Outside of real estate, Grant soaks up the good life. You’ll find him golfing, boating to Apalachicola, or spending time with his friends and family often by the pool, the beach, or discovering new places together. He believes in working hard, living well, and never losing sight of what really matters. One of the things he values most? Doing it all with family. “Whether it’s building something new or helping someone find a home, it means more when you’re doing it with the people you love.”
Even after seeing the world, Port St. Joe remains his favorite place. “I love the two red lights. I love running into people who’ve known my family forever. I love this community,” Grant explains. “There’s truly nowhere else I’d rather be.”
Grant’s here to help you find more than a house, he’s here to help you find home.
