Apalachicola Real Estate and Historic Coastal Living in Florida’s Panhandle Where the oysters are fresh, the stories run deep, and the views never get old.

One of the oldest port cities in the state of Florida, Apalachicola enjoys a rich, storied history of maritime culture, fishing and outdoor recreation.

Located at the mouth of the Apalachicola River, on the bay that shares its name, downtown Apalachicola offers a variety of historic architecture and an eclectic assortment of boutiques, outfitters and one-of-a-kind retail shops.  After strolling the quaint village-like setting, you can treat yourself to a fresh seafood dinner and libations at one of the many nearby restaurants, including the Owl Café and Oyster City Brewing Company.  Since 1907, the Gibson Inn – listed on the National Register of Historic Places – has offered Southern hospitality in an Old World setting near the waterfront.

Apalachicola is just a 20-minute drive to Dr. Julian G. Bruce St. George Island State Park with its pristine public lands and wide variety of outdoor recreational activities.  In addition, St. Vincent National Wildlife Refuge is worth the short nine mile boat ride to observe the incredible collection of wildlife species that inhabit the area.
